When you are buying, building or renovating a home, you should shop for your products and services carefully. You want to make sure that you buy from a company that is committed to quality, service and customer satisfaction.
Membership in the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association (GVHBA) is an important indication of a company's commitment to professionalism. The GVHBA has represented the professional home building industry across the Lower Mainland for more than a quarter century. Members include new home builders, renovators, financial institutions, manufacturers and suppliers of building products, new home warranty programs and government agencies.
The GVHBA is committed to quality, choice and affordability in housing. The Association consults with municipal governments on policies, programs and legislation that affect the industry and consumers. In partnerships with the private and public sectors, it promotes research and continuous innovation in materials, products and construction techniques. And it provides a wide range of education and training activities to support the ongoing professional development of its members.
The GVHBA is also a strong advocate of consumer education. From the popular annual First-time Home Buyer Seminar to the spring and fall home shows, publications and Web site, the GVHBA is helping consumers to make informed and confident home buying decisions.
Association members voluntarily adopt a Code of Ethics. When you look for a product or service, look for the GVHBA logo on the company's signs, brochures and business cards. If you don't see it, ask if they are a GVHBA member.
