British Pacific Properties Limited has played a unique role in the history of one of Canada’s most livable communities. The company has been creating building sites and homes in master planned communities in West Vancouver for over 80 years. Landmark projects such as the Lions Gate Bridge, Capilano Golf & Country Club and Park Royal Shopping Centre, Canada’s first regional shopping centre, were originally built and owned by British Pacific. In recent years, the company has been focused on the development of its hillside properties, maintaining the highest standards of planning, design and construction, balanced with respect for the natural environment. Its subsidiary, British Pacific Homes, specializes in designing and building luxury custom homes for discerning clients in West Vancouver and elsewhere. (See www.britishproperties.com and www.britishpacifichomes.com )
British Pacific still has substantial holdings of West Vancouver hillside lands planned for future development. It is actively engaged in the development of the Rodgers Creek community, currently Areas 3 and 4, and the Cypress Village community, which is in the early planning stages. Both the Rodgers Creek and Cypress Village communities will contain a diversity of housing forms and public amenities.
Due to the upcoming retirement of the current President, and to enable an orderly transition, British Pacific is now starting the process of identifying and appointing his successor. Reporting to the Board, this individual will be heavily involved in establishing the vision for the development of future communities, and will lead a lean and talented management team to execute the planning, development, construction, marketing and sales of homes in these communities.
We are seeking an experienced real estate development executive who has strong visionary and planning skills combined with the ability to get involved as necessary in the day-to-day execution of all aspects of the company’s operations. A broad background covering most aspects of real estate development, a willingness to innovate, unquestioned integrity, and excellent presentation and relationship-building skills, are all required.
This is a very rare opportunity to shape the future of one of Vancouver’s most established and respected development companies, and to play a key role in bringing imaginative and sustainable design principles to creating new communities in a very special setting.
Please e-mail your resume in strict confidence to Western Management Consultants at search@wmc.bc.ca, quoting file 08662, or telephone Richard Savage at 604 443 3715 for more information.
