The GVHBA Tech Forums are of great benefit to members, bringing timely quality information on technical issues. The sessions are presented by GVHBA members and are open to members only. These 45- to 90-minute presentations are for information purposes only.
To ensure the integrity of the Tech Forums, GVHBA has set forth criteria regarding members' presentations.
Criteria for Presentations
- Presentations are open to all GVHBA members. No exceptions.
- Presentations are to be general information sessions addressing technical issues.
- This is not a sales presentationl proprietary information is to be limited.
- Presentations are to be 45 minutes to 90 minutes in duration and will take place prior to the GVHBA monthly dinner meetings (subject to room availability).
- A presentation overview is required to be submitted to Wendy McNeil at GVHBA one month prior to the event for approval. This overview will be reviewed by the GVHBA Education and Training Committee to ensure the presentation meets the criteria.
- Competitors' products/services are not to be discussed negatively.
- The cost of the room rental, refreshments and audio-visual are to be paid by the company/companies presenting the session.
- Benefit to participating is promotion of the member company via event notices and exposire to attendees (whereby you are seen as an expert on the topic).
- GVHBA will manage the registration process and keep the presenting member(s) informed regarding attendees. In the event a Tech Forum must be cancelled, GVHBA will make appropriate arrangements with the hotel.
- GVHBA reserves the right to attend any Tech Forum to ensure the presenting member(s) is conducting the forum in accordance with the aforementioned criteria.
- GVHBA reserves the right to refuse any Tech Forum presentation request if it is deemed to be in contrary to the purpose behind the GVHBA Tech Forums.
