FALL CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT
Held: First week in September 
Event Description: Western Canada’s largest golf tournament, presented by Preston Mobility, the GVHBA Fall Classic Golf Tournament sells out each year with 288 golfers and 350 banquet guests. The tournament is held at Swan-e-Set Bay Resort and Country Club, featuring a silent auction to support the four annual GVHBA Centra Cares BCIT scholarships. This memorable day of golf provides GVHBA members with an exceptional sponsorship networking opportunity with traction, as members return year on year. This is a highly anticipated C list event, not to be missed.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Range from Hole Sponsor at $600 to Banquet Sponsor at $10,000. 
 
MEMBER ORIENTATIONS
Held: 3 times per year, usually at breakfast at the Inn at the Quay, New Westminster, or other central location
Event Description: This event includes the always booked-out speed networking, as well as an opportunity for members to have tabletop displays. Members and non-members have an opportunity to learn about GVHBA and network. The event usually brings in more than 120 members and non-members.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsorship packages range from $500 - $1,000; tabletops around $200. Presenting sponsors for 2015 is Caesarstone and Green Sheet Construction Data.
 
SUMMER SOCIAL
Held: August at the Inn at the Quay, New Westminster (or other central location)
Event Description: The format always includes speed networking (members only) and attracts many builders and renovator members. This event usually brings in more than 200 attendees, members and non-members. In 2014, a ping pong tournament was added and is now, after 2015, a highly anticipated networking game.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsorship packages begin at $500; tabletops around $300.
 
U-40 EVENTS

CHRISTMAS PARTY
Held: Early December 
Event Description: This event in terms of venue regularly changes and is dependent upon the theme of the year. In 2015, GVHBA held a secret Santa Breakfast, including an ugly sweater contest, plus a send-off to Coats for Kids and helping the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. It is a fabulous way to kick off the holiday season! These types of events usually bring in more than 120 members.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsorship packages begin at $500; tabletops around $200.
 
MEMBERS’ EXPO
Held: usually the first or second Wednesday in May (May 11th, 2016)
Event Description: The event is held at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver Theatre in Coquitlam. This supplier trade show is presented in lieu of a regular dinner meeting. This event is always a great success and the response is overwhelming. More than 600 builders, site supers, project managers, subcontractors and renovators attend. Attendees included members and non-members from large and small construction firms. 
Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsorship packages begin at $750. Table top displays begin around $575 and all exhibitors must have a minimum $100 door prize.
 
HOME RENO SHOWS
Held: Two spring shows (VanDusen Gardens (April 2, 2016 and The View on Lonsdale April 9, 2016) plus one fall show (TBC), typically in a centrally located area of Metro Vancouver
Event Description: Free to consumers, the Home Reno Show offers homeowners a wealth of information in one place. Offering complementary one-on-one consultations at the Ask-A-Pro Expo, plus free industry expert 30 minute seminars throughout the day, these shows typically attract 300-400 homeowners, focused on renovations. Attendees are encouraged to view the display booths, gather printed material, sit in on seminars and discuss their plans with renovation and design pros. 
Sponsorship Opportunities: Event sponsorships run $1,000 per show (exhibitor booth space $495-$595)
 
HOME BUYERS SEMINARS
HELD: annually, February, date TBC
This free seminar will help consumers do their homework before taking that important first step into homeownership. Held in downtown Vancouver, this evening event featuring a panel of 5-6 industry experts (BC Housing, CMHC etc), typically draws 200-300 potential home buyers. Tabletops displays are also set up so GVHBA-members can offer information regarding products and services.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Corporate sponsorships range from are $1,400 to $10,000 and table top displays are $400 + GST.
 
OVATION AWARDS - Finalists Reception
Held: Wednesday, March 9, 2016
Event Description: The GVHBA local awards programme for members, showcases the best in new home building, renovation and design. 
Sponsorship Opportunities: Corporate sponsorships are linked to the gala event.

PARADE OF RENOVATED HOMES
Held: On a Sunday in late May (May 15th or 29th TBC)
Event Description: During the Parade of Renovated Homes, the public tours newly renovated homes throughout the Lower Mainland. The event showcases leading-edge design, advanced construction techniques, and innovative building products by GVHBA members. Consumers purchase passports ($10) to gain entrance to the participating homes. Passport proceeds go to an apprenticeship carpenter program at Frank Herd High School.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Advertisements in the passports range start at $150 and approximately 1,200 passports are printed. Event Sponsor opportunities $1,000 - $5,000
 
GVHBA BUILDING SCIENCE FORUM
Held: May of each year, full-day event.
Event Description: The GVHBA Education & Training Committee is dedicated to increasing the professionalism of the residential construction industry. To this end, it offers a day long building science seminar for the industry at large. 
Sponsorship Opportunities: Limited tabletop displays $750, Event Sponsorships are negotiated ,  usually ranging from $300 to $5,000.
 
INDUSTRY WORKSHOPS – “No Frills in the Boardroom”
Held: Typically ten, two-part series, presented throughout the year.
Event Description: The GVHBA Education & Training Committee is dedicated to increasing the professionalism of the residential construction industry. For industry, GVHBA provides workshops covering curriculum matching the HPO’s seven core competencies to maintain builder licensing requirements (CPDs). Marketed as “No Frills in the Boardroom” education sessions, attendance is limited to 20, and taught by GVHBA industry experts.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsorships can be negotiated based on the course but usually range from $500 to $5,000.
 
BUILDER BREAKFAST SERIES
Held last Thursday of the month, except July and December
Event Description: Responding to the constant change in building code requirements, the GVHBA provides our members with timely, relevant, technical information, in a consistent,
accessible, education and networking format. Sessions run 7:30am – 9am, including hot breakfast. Sessions typically draw 30-60 attendees. Sessions typically attract multi and single family builders, plus renovators, with industry reaching for access to share information via this very popular series.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Technical Sponsor (1 sponsor per session $1,000) Education Sponsor $5,000 per year (5 available.)
 
LEGENDS
Held: Early February, date TBC
Event Description:  A plated dinner event, featuring industry legends, and moderator, attendees are treated to an inside look of these successful legends and where they see the industry trending. A popular presentation, this evening typically sells out well in advance. 
Sponsorship Opportunities: Event sponsors $2,000 
 
DINNER MEETINGS
Held: First Wednesday of the month, 3 meetings (April AGM, October AEM, November G2G.)
Event Description: The GVHBA hosts monthly dinner meeting for members and their guests. These networking and information events feature meet-and-mix opportunities, an excellent buffet dinner/lunch, and a presentation on current industry issues by a prominent expert. On average, 150 people attend these events, making for excellent networking. 
Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsorship of the dinner meeting ranges from $800 to $2,000 based on the speaker at the event. Tabletop displays are also available for $50 per rental and can be booked in advance.
 
ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES

Published: Annual print publication, ready for February Home Show. (Creative Deadline Usually mid-December)?
Description: Current publisher is Yellow Pages NextHome who secure advertisers and print the directory. GVHBA supplies the content and database and proofing.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Ad rates range from $400 to $1400 depending upon position, colour vs B&W, and size within directory.
 
WEBSITE ADVERTISING
Available: Year round availability
Description: Members are able to advertise on the website. Tile ad is 125 x 125 px.
Sponsorship Opportunities: $200 per month; some discount on long-term commitment
 
MEMBER-TO-MEMBER ADVERTISING
Available: Year round availability
Description: Members are allowed to advertise in Monday Morning Briefing and same ads are placed in member communication materials (e-blasts). Tile ad is 125 x 125 px Sponsorship Opportunities: $100 per month (no discounts). 
 
AFFINITY PARTNERSHIPS
Available: Year round, for a minimum of two years
Description: Available to members, an affinity partnership is a product or service offering endorsed by GVHBA and provided by one GVHBA member to another that provides an economic or brand benefit to both members and the association.
GVHBA members will have access to exclusive savings on GVHBA endorsed programs. Product and service endorsement serves both the member and the Association well. For the member, GVHBA endorsement identifies a quality product or service, that is either unique in the marketplace or cannot be found at lower prices. Affinity programs range from $5,000 and up.
