2007/2008 President's Message

The Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association (GVHBA) has more than 660 member companies. Not only is it one of the largest associations in Canada, it is one of the most recognized for its participation in, and contributions to, the industry as a whole.

There is no better one-stop resource for members and consumers than GVHBA’s Contact 2008 Membership Directory. Our membership includes everyone from builders to renovators, developers to suppliers, other trade associations, financial institutions and a variety of other professionals.

GVHBA membership offers many benefits. Members are provided with relevant information on technological advances, design trends, consumer preferences, community planning initiatives, building practices, green building, government policy, housing statistics from across North America, as well as a wide range of education and training initiatives delivered in seminar, workshop or forum formats.

For consumers, visit www.gvhba.org to access timely, task-specific information on buying a new home or renovating an existing one. The association presents semi-annual parades of new homes and an annual parade of renovated homes. Also popular are the seminars on buying a first home, building a custom home or renovating a home to accommodate the changing needs of a growing – or shrinking – family. Our experienced staff can also help you find the desired information.

Whether buying a new home or renovating an existing one, consider a GVHBA member first.

Sincerely,

John Friswell RRP, RHP, CAPS, CGR
President
